If your musical tastes resemble anything close to mine, then the announcement of Mirrors For Psychic Warfare‘s debut album should excite you greatly. Consisting of Neurosis‘s Scott Kelly and Buried at Sea‘s Sanford Parker, this project appears to be taking a more evocative approach to music than some of their other works (i.e. Corrections House). The press release stated:
The band’s haunting self-titled debut is the sonic manifestation of insomnia, complete with the tossing, the turning, and the perennial dread that comes with facing another shabby daylight. The five songs lurch and pulsate across a desolate landscape with an almost curious obsessiveness.
While the release date and any music from the album has yet to be stated or heard, this announcement of its eventual arrival did come with the album’s cover art and the track listing. The album is five songs long, the track listing is featured below with the artwork. This news is enough to get me excited for its inevitable release through Neurot Recordings.
