Savannah sludge/punk group, Black Tusk, are gearing up to head out on tour in the new year. This news comes a few weeks after the announcement of their upcoming album, Pillars of Ash, which will be released on January 29th. The album marks the final recordings with the late Jonathan Athon, who was the group’s founding bassist/vocalist.
Black Tusk will be supported by the female-fronted, stoner rock group, Royal Thunder, and Asheville natives, Bask, who play a very special brand of psych/doom metal. The tour is presented by New Noise Magazine and covers a two-week stretch towards the end of January and into early February.
