Red Fang Premiere Cover of Elvis’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love With You”

Red Fang are an awesome group of dudes. Their sludgy/stoner sound is easily recognizable and their music never disappoints. Their most recent album, Whales and Leeches, came out in October 2013 (you can stream it here) and features killer tracks like “Blood Like Cream”, “Crows In Swine”, and “No Hope”. Up next for the Portland rockers is a limited edition 7″ courtesy of Volcom to promote the band’s upcoming tour. The 7″ will include this cover of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love With You” featured in this article as well as a cover of Fraggle Rock’s “Why”. You can stream the cover via Loudwire.

Red Fang said about the Elvis cover:

“We were asked to cover an Elvis song a while back and none of us are really Elvis fans so we were kind of at a loss.  We had this dark and doomy jam we’d been kickin’ around for a while and we thought ‘what if we just record our own song and see if we can make the lyrics fit somehow?’  And to our surprise it turned out pretty rad!  Maybe Elvis is spinning in his grave, but I dig it.”
